This mininovel is a pink candyfloss of a text. It seems to me somehow amateurish, but again if youre sitting on a noisy subway, just trying to create your own little space in the world, the story and text is of such simplicity that its easy to get right back into the story if someone bumps into you. I would not have reread it or recommended it to friends, though.
Cindy meets a witch while picking apples. Disagreeing with the witch about who has got top priority to the best apple tree, the witch puts a curse on Cindy. The following night Cindy turns into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight. Even though she wakes up every morning as herself, the book illuminate the problems a girl has as she turns into a pumpkin every night; datewise especially. And will she eventually find her prince? The story is told in an ironic tone which is not really ironic, just a bleak echo of Bridget Jones` voice. Belongs as a serial in a young girls magazine (if there exist such a thing), maybe?
